About Obermiller Construction Services
|
Hello; my name is Cheryl Obermiller. Thank you for visiting the online home of my company,
Obermiller Construction Services, Inc.
In keeping with our family history of entrepreneurship, I founded OCS, a heavy construction
company, in 1993. My father, Gene Wilson, spent his life as an owner/partner in Wilson's Meat
Market, which was located in Grandview, Missouri and founded by his parents, Fannie and Emit Wilson
in the early 1930's. My husband's father, Lawson Obermiller, spent many years running
Obermiller Bros. Amusement Company; a coin operated machine business located in Columbia,
Missouri, which he began in partnership with his brother, Fred.
When my husband, Roy Obermiller, and I married in 1985 he had been running his own civil engineering
company, REO Engineering, for six years.
So, having a business of my own is just a normal part of a multi-generational family
tradition.
Seventeen years after it's humble beginnings, I continue to own and
operate Obermiller Construction Services, Inc. Of course, the best thing about a
‘family business’ is family! Two of our eight children, sons Bob Barta and Jared
Obermiller, as well as son-in-law Nate Hunter, now do a lot of the heavy lifting
around the company, and I wouldn't have it any other way! (Of course, they will
still have to deal with Mom running things for a few more years).
When you become a client of Obermiller Construction Services, Inc. , we promise to
take care of you like a member of the family. Give me a call and I'll send the boys
right over to help!
Sincerely,
Cheryl Obermiller
